The Arizona Republic, 1980s and 1990s
Views from The Arizona Republic. Some of the images were taken in the newspapers old newsroom, a very crowded and very dark place. Offices were small and crowded. In the mid-1990s, the paper built a new building, right across the street. That newsroom was much more open and spread across two floors. It had a open staircase in the middle for easy access between departments. These images are from the old newsroom and show the design and art departments and a meeting about an upcoming newspaper redesign.
